After much speculation regarding cast and plot of the movie, Sex and the City 2 is finally here.
With a budget of USD $95 million one thing that we can be sure of is that their outfits will be fabulous!
While we wait with bated breath to see what fashionable adventures the girls have been on, lets take a moment to remember where it all started.
It was 1998 and the girls were at a birthday party for Miranda, they vowed to stop looking for the ‘perfect’ man and concentrate on having fun.
Luckily for us, their quest did not end there, and here at Thinpurse we’ve found some dresses at ASOS that remind us of the old times in Manhattan (without the Village price tag).
Carrie’s style is feminine, flirty and little on the wild side; and this pink sundress for £18 just fits the bill. The flowing pink skirt is cute and girly while the oversized frill adds a bit of fashion to a summer basic.
As we all know, Samantha is famous for her provocative nature and clothing. This cut out, one shoulder body con dress (£24) is suggestive, stylish and straight from the 90’s showing just the right amount of skin.
The more conservative Charlotte is likely to be seen watching tennis in this day dress (£30) complete with feminine bows and an eye-catching print, while Miranda the powerful lawyer, is likely to be strutting her stuff in court wearing this Victoria Beckham look-a-like pencil dress (£38), which is sure to dazzle any jury.
So next time you complete a quiz on facebook or in a magazine telling you which Sex and the City gal you are, be safe in the knowledge that you don’t need a SATC paycheck to get the SATC look.
