Choose Some Election Colours For Your Man – Which Would You Vote For?

by Imogen, on May 11, 2010

ElectionBritish politics is big news this week, everyone is talking about the results of the general election as the events unfolded last Thursday night.  You’ve all had your chance to vote but which way would you sway if it was down to you to choose what the hot colours for menswear are going to be for this season? I’ve picked three of the best red, blue and yellow looks to help you make your mind up.

This trendy red checked flannel shirt from the Lee 101 collection is available at Urban Outfitters. It’s great for this season as he can roll the sleeves up which shows the nice detail of the contrast check interior and the fabric is not too heavy for summer days in the sunshine. He can button it up to the top or wear it open neck depending on his style.

Lyle & Scott are very consistent in creating easily wearable and stylish street fashion but they still keep their designs simple and that’s why they are still cool season after season. This yellow crew neck t-shirt is a good example of  the understated edginess which Lyle & Scott are known for. I like this t-shirt because it has been cut in a way which lets it hang loose on the body and it can be worn with jeans or shorts.  Priced at a very tempting £35 from Asos it’s not going to make a big dent in his bank balance.

I’ve also picked out this unisex pacific blue tie which is a nice surprise from American Apparel because it is usually known for its t-shirts, hoodies, lycra and casual wear. Smarten your man up with this simple tie which is great for the office and will make him look a little bit more ‘conservative’ but not in a David Cameron kind of way!

Pick your favourite for your man to show your political pride, or put em together to cause a little stir!
