Go floral, look fabulous at Urban Outfitters

This week’s trend is all about pretty prints, floral patterns and girly accessories.  I have been inspired by my wander down Columbia Road flower market in Hackney last Sunday which 2010-04-15_1024not only has a vibrant atmosphere, an extensive range of  stalls packed with gorgeous colourful flowers but it also has a really lovely selection of shops.

I’m going to give you some pointers on how to bring the best of the spring into your wardrobe by experimenting a little.  To help you do this I have picked out my favourite floral pieces from Urban Outfitters which can be mixed and matched to create that romantic I’ve-got-style-without-the-effort look .

Don’t just go straight for Cath Kidston when you can have fun putting your outfits together yourself!

This pretty tunic which comes in both cream and black (£45) looks great when worn with a pair of jeans or leggings and some simple jewellery like these black Wild Flower earrings (£8). I also love this floral bag (£18) which can be slung across the body and can be worn with the tunic or you can tone down the chintz by wearing it with a simple cute blouse and high-waisted skirt for a Florence and the Machine vintage look.

No bag would be complete without a fancy purse to keep your pennies safe, this lovely cabbage rose print hinge wallet priced at £20 is something worth treating yourself to or it makes a great gift for a friend.

To complete your outfit check out these lace up shoes which are a very reasonable price at £32 and make a stylish alternative to pumps when you’re strolling around town in the warm weather. They can easily be worn with pop socks or tights and are a bit more of a girly alternative to plimsolls or trainers.

If this wasn’t quite enough to get you in the mood for more summer days in the sunshine check out the floral desktop wallpaper which is also available from the Urban Outfitters website. Download here.

Now what more could a girl want?
