A hot pair of shoes will have you strutting your stuff this party season; and while it’s tempting to buy a new pair every six seconds (if you’re anything like me), girls on a budget (also like me), will need to invest wisely on a pair that goes with everything, and look
smoking hot at the same time.
If your party wardrobe is currently resembling a boxed rainbow (like mine) I’m going to say it’s probably best to go for black.
There are loads of fabulous black hued heels out there right now; so it’s going to be difficult to choose your fave. So here are ours!
The Peep Toe
Peep Toe shoes/sandals/boots are everywhere, and they’re showing no signs of going anywhere. Rocking a peep toe is a classic move, but teaming it with current features; is pure style.
The Black High Heel Sandal from Miss Selfridge, £50, has a platform base with an impressive heel, and the lace-up front super trendy. The contrasting finish keep things interesting.
The High Fashion Heel
Think Louis Vuitton when you’re picking out a pair of heels, and you’ll be red carpet ready from the feet up.
Katy Perry came over all ladylike this week at an event and went for the Vuitton funnel heel look, which you can make your own in a pair of these Suede Strap Platforms, £40, from New Look.
But if you’d like to make a more delicate statement, these Slice Pointed Cut Out Shoes are darling in intricate floral lace, at £45.
The Cage Heel
First arriving on the scene thanks to Yves Saint Laurent; the cage heel has been worshipped, and consquently copied hundreds of times over; becoming a must have style this season.
New Look has offered up their version; the Cage Strap Court for a cheap as chips price; £15.
With their eye-catching design, they’re definitely a ‘outfit from the bottom up’ pair of heels.
The Platform Court
Sometimes, all an outfit needs is a pair of killer black high heel courts.
Enter the Cigh Court Shoe, from Faith. An almost-5 inch heel, high shine patent, shocking purple soles and a vintage cut is all these heels need to blast them out of boring and into the
realm of amazing. They were originally £65, but are now available for £32.
The Snakeskin Feature
Everyone’s going animal this season, so if you want to get in on the trend, try a snakeskin feature a ‘la these Cut Out Ankle Shoes from Boohoo.
As if the bold, wide strap wasn’t enough; the side and sole faux snakeskin features are fun, but a bit more subtle than most styles you’ll see. I think that’s a good thing; at least for longevity’s sake.
